A walk through Results
- Run a check. Results opens while the check runs and fills in as it goes. The title is the test's name. Under it a line gives the model's file name, with Model health added if you picked it, then the IFC schema and the time of the check.
- Read the top of the page: the 3D view with the analytical view over it. The big number is the Model Correctness Index, with how many elements are untested, failed and passed. 3D view, analytical view.
- Scroll to the Model table: a row for each model of the check, with its file facts, its Model health result, its counts and its index, and the downloads under it. Model section.
- Scroll to Extended data: every element the test checked, with every value, one tab for each group of requirements. Extended data.
- Scroll to BCF topics, the last part: the issues the check writes as BCF, which you can change before you download them. BCF topics.
- Click a number, a row, a cell or a topic anywhere on the page. Its elements show in the 3D view, and a bar at the bottom of the page says what is shown. Press Esc to deselect.
- Choose the small i at the bottom right of the page for the keys and moves of the part you are looking at.
One selection at a time
The three parts under the 3D view are linked. Whatever you pick shows in the 3D view and stays picked until you press Esc, choose Deselect in the bar, or pick something else. A topic's elements, a cell's elements and a count's elements are all the same kind of selection, so you can go from a number to its rows and on to its BCF topic without losing the thread. With Hide the rest on, the rest of the model is hidden while something is picked, and with it off the rest stays faint.
The element card
Click an element in the 3D view and its card opens at the bottom right: what the element fails, with its values. Choose the cross on the card to close it.
Model-level checks
Some requirements are about the model as a whole, for example that at least one element of a kind must exist. When one fails, is in doubt or warns, a notice under the page title says so, with its status and why. While one fails, the index is at most 0.99 (how the index is counted).
Empty, Wrong and Other
When you open a property set in the analytical view, its failing properties are split into three kinds. Empty: the required information is not there, or is there but blank. Wrong: it is there with a value the IDS does not allow, or it is there although the IDS does not allow it at all. Other: the engine could not decide. The analytical view shows where.
Several models
A check of several models shows them all on one page. The 3D view draws every model together, the index counts them all, and the Model table has a row for each model. Extended data lists the elements of every model, with the model's name in a column of its own, or of one model when you choose its name in the Model table.
